The Library is committed to ensuring everyone in our community has access to the technology necessary for work, school, and play. With that in mind, we’ve created a long-term lending program for our Chromebook Kits, giving all patrons access to wifi and a laptop for up to 24 weeks at a time.
Each Chromebook Kit includes a Chromebook, mouse, and hot spot for connecting to the internet. Through the Long-Term Lending Program, each kit can be checked out for 12 weeks, with one renewal of another 12-week period if the kit is not on hold for another patron. This gives patrons up to 24 weeks of access to a kit, as opposed to a total of 9 weeks under our usual lending guidelines.
Kits must be picked up and returned to the Lynnfield Library, and patrons must sign our Library of Things Lending Agreement. Patrons under 18 are welcome to use Chromebook Kits as long as a guardian signs the Lending Agreement.
