During the month of July, the Lynnfield Public Library is hosting a guest display created by the Climate Accountability team of the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) entitled “Decades of Deceit“, a recent report UCS published which outlines the long history of climate deception by the fossil fuel industry. This display will help residents understand this history and its role in causing current climate impacts; identify climate dis- and mis-information; and gain context for the consumer and investor protection lawsuit our state attorney general is pursuing against the fossil fuel industry, Massachusetts v. Exxon Mobil. UCS also provided a reading list for anyone interested in learning more.
