Key Details on Town Meeting Vote and Cost Considerations

As we approach Town Meeting on Wednesday, November 13 at 7pm at Lynnfield Middle School, we want to provide information about the voting item for the Library Building Renovation Project. Childcare will be offered at Town Meeting. You must register for childcare in advance with Lynnfield Recreation. Two informational Town Talks have been recorded to help explain the issue. Please view part one and part two by clicking on the links.

What is being voted on concerning the Library Renovation Project?

  • The Town Meeting vote needs to pass by a 2/3 majority.
  • The Library Renovation is projected to cost $18.3M, which would be an average of $208/household/year (based on an average assessed home value of $984,000). Those with a lower assessed value will pay less per year.
