The Lynnfield Summer Reading 2024 has come to a close. It was another fantastic summer with our community reading over 2,228 books in total! This summer the children of Lynnfield worked to Clean Up the Library Park. Together they read over 1,000 books which means they clean the whole park!
Our Summer Reading was off to a great start with bubbles, balloon twisting, face painting and Richie’s Italian Ice! Thank you to the Friends of the Lynnfield Library, Lynnfield Tree Committee, and The Town of Lynnfield Conservation Committee for joining us this summer. BIG thank you to the Girl Scouts Troop #82559 for helping out with our Summer Reading Kickoff!
The fun kept going at the Paper Plate Purses, Magic with Scott Martell, Clothes Peg Dragonflies and Story Time on the Common. We had a wide range of programming for across all ages from Rolie Polie Guacamole to a Learn to play Mah Jongg!
The Massachusetts and Lynnfield Cultural Council helped to bring in a variety programs to Lynnfield including Rockabye Beats , Ed the Wizard and Storytelling with Davis Bates!
The Library was back at MarketStreet this summer with more amazing performances with Lindsay and her Puppet Pals and Cure for the Common Show with Bryson Lang.
We had such a blast this summer and can’t wait to do it again next year! All raffle prize winners and Topsfield Fair Read to Win recipients will be contacted with instructions to pick up their prizes.
A HUGE thank you to the Friends of the Lynnfield, the Massachusetts and Lynnfield Cultural Councils, and the North Suburban Child and Family Resource Network for providing funding for programs. Thank you to the Friends of the Lynnfield Library, The Lynnfield Moms Group, K.I.N.G.S and Lush for donating or providing funding for Summer Reading Prizes.
