Summer Events at the Library

What are your plans for the summer?  Are you looking for something new?  Something fun?  Something to do with your friends?  Come on by the library for our summer programs!  Our summer reading theme this year is Find Your Voice, and there are plenty of ways to speak out at the library.

Join us next week at the Meeting House to Delvena Theater Company Presents: Lizzie Borden and the 40 WhacksThe notorious 1892 trial of Lizzie Borden!  An edutainment production, written by Fran Baron and directed by Joseph Zamparelli, Jr. the show will feature Lynne Moulton and Joseph Zamparelli, Jr. in multiple roles.  Was Lizzie Borden a cold hearted murderer, or an innocent woman accused?  You decide! Next Tuesday, July 11, at 6:30 PM

On Wednesday, July 19 at 6:00 PM we will be bringing Nick Zaino Presents: 100 Years of Boston Comedy.  A great way to learn about your favorite comedians who got their start in the Boston area.  Nick Zaino explores Boston’s long history of comedy, from vaudeville to YouTube, highlighting some of the personalities that have defined laughter in America for 100 years.

Come see him on the Library Mezzanine, or attend remotely.  If you register with your email address, we’ll send you a Zoom Link.

In August we’ll have a concert on the common with Knock on Wood, a high-energy acoustic folk-rock duo, featuring singer-songwriter Howie Newman and Dave Talmage.  The duo performs Classic Rock covers and funny original songs suitable for all ages.  It will be at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, August 9th.

You can also come to library to learn to play music yourself!  Join us for a Ukulele Workshop on Wednesday, August 16th, at 6:00 PM in the Meeting House.

All of this plus our Thursday remote yoga classes, monthly crafting get togethers, drop-in technology help, and the Last Tuesday Book Group are going on all summer at Your Lynnfield Library.  Come on by!
