Share Your Library Story – Friend of the Lynnfield Library President Jeana Tecci

Categories:

There are SO many different things to do at the library that it can be hard to remember them all. We wanted to start a series of interviews with different members of the Lynnfield Community to learn about their favorite things to do here, any tips & tricks they’ve learned along the way, and get some recommendations to add to our TBR lists.

This week, we are continuing with President of the Friends of the Lynnfield Library, Jeana Tecci.

When did you get your first library card?

I got my first library card in 11th grade at the Boston Public Library.

Tell us your favorite thing about the Lynnfield Public Library.

Staff is always at the top of my mind when I think about what it is I love about the Lynnfield Public Library. Their ability to pivot, the large variety of programming they come up with, always ready to help patrons (finding books or online assistance or town sources and more) and always advocating for learning and literacy.

Favorite author/movie?

Yaa Gasi is an author with amazing stories. Homegoing was a story I hadn’t heard before told in a way I hadn’t read.

Favorite resource?

I’m a big fan of Libby.

What are you reading right now?

I’m currently reading The Small and the Mighty: Twelve Unsung Americans Who Changed the Course of History by Sharon McMahon and when I need something light and fall/cozy I switch to Ghost Cat by Alex Howard.

What is a tip you tell your friends about using the library?

If there’s a book you don’t see in the catalog or there’s a long line on Libby go to the Library website to fill out a request! Most of the time more books can be ordered.
