A Death in Cornwall by Daniel Silva
I listened to the audiobook version of this title, read by Edoardo Ballerini. Art restorer, Gabriel Allon, came to London to celebrate the return of a stolen painting by Vincent Van Gogh. Upon his arrival, a professor of art history is murdered, who is searching for a stolen Picasso. Allon uses his artistic talent to forge six Impressionist paintings to lure the killer while he travels the coast of Cornwall and Corsica.

Orbital provides a snapshot of six men and women orbiting the earth in one 24 hour period, during one of the last space missions. Astronauts from America, Italy, Russia, Britain and Japan reflect both on their lives in space and on earth with their families, experiencing sixteen sunrises and sunsets, while being challenged about their futures.
The Garden Against Time: In Search of a Common Paradise by Olivia Laing
I am currently reading this book and am enthralled by the perseverance of the author as she struggles to restore the 18th century gardens surrounding her new home, which have been neglected for many years. While understanding the choices made by previous gardeners, Laing raises the issues of inclusion and exclusion, both in gardens and society.

Bad Kitty for President by Nick Bruel – This silly book is also surprisingly educational; it explains things such as a primary, convention, bribery, cocus, endorsements, etc, in a humorous way. As always, the book includes interesting facts like how Abraham Lincoln was the first president who brought his two feline friends to the White House. If you want to find out if Bad Kitty gets elected to be a president of the cat community, I recommend you read the book.

The Scholomance Series by Naomi Novik – The three books in the Scholomance Series, A Deadly Education, the Last Graduate, and the Golden Enclaves, are my favorite of Naomi Novik’s books. Like a few other popular YA series, they imagine that a world of magic is layered on top of our own, complete with a magical boarding school. This school, however is a dark and terrible place, built on humanity’s best and worst impulses. The protagonist, Galadriel Higgins, is a lonely, angry, and deeply powerful young woman, determined to fight every thing and everyone in her way, hopefully without turning into the world’s most powerful dark scorceress on the way.
