We are very excited to welcome three new (as of April 2024) members of the Library Board of Trustees!
Joe Gallagher is a stay-at-home dad who has lived and volunteered in Lynnfield for about 10 years. He always enjoyed reading and fondly recalls reading graphic novels in the Newburyport Public Library as a child, reading long novels at the beach and on plane rides, and buying used books at bookstores and at the Friends of the Lynnfield Library book sale. He has enjoyed working as a new Library Trustee since he was elected in April 2024, and is excited to participate in the future development of the Lynnfield Public Library.
Darlene Kumar grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana and has lived in Lynnfield for 12 years with her husband and two kids. She is currently the Chair of Lynnfield Cultural Council and President of Lynnfield For Love. Being a mom is her greatest accomplishment. Darlene credits her love of reading and libraries to her grandfather, Dr. Benedict Periaswamy.
Anne Malenfant has been a resident of Lynnfield for over 13 years, and lives here with her husband and two teenage boys. She has over 25 years of experience as an environmental engineer, working as a project manager with drinking water supply systems. When not at the library, you can find her exploring the outdoors in Massachusetts and Maine with her family.
