His first book, New England Notebook: One Reporter, Six States, Uncommon Stories, was selected by National Geographic Traveler as one of its “Best Picks.” Left side of the image is the image of the bookcover, an aerial photograph of a dirt road winding through a forest of fall foliage, with the book title and author superimposed over it. In the upper right corner is the author's headshot, a white man in glasses and a purple button-down shirt sitting in front of a wall of bookshelves. The Lynnfield Public Library logo, a tree growing out of a book, is at the bottom of the page.
