During January and February, the Lynnfield Public Library is excited to exhibit paintings by local artist Frank Gelott. In Frank’s own words, ” I am inspired by my experiences with nature. I place no restrictions on myself, and when I start a painting, I let myself go. I often spend a great deal of time on the objects and the colors, and they express my spirit and feelings. By making each work whimsical and bright I try to create a sense of well-being, and bring my viewers to a place in their mind they wouldn’t normally go to.” To see more of his work, please visit his website.
Born and raised in New England, Frank Gelott attended the University of Massachusetts where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resources Management. Thereupon, he turned his attentions to graphic art and opened Mad Hatter Design. This was a graphics design and desktop publishing studio. At that point, he produced a wide variety of commercial art on the Bay State’s North Shore. His start-up grew into a viable and contributing member of the Cape Ann business community. Subsequently, Gelott was well poised to indulge in the creation of fine art. The works that followed are now a part of private collections, and have been seen in various exhibitions about the Greater Boston Area.
