Parent & Caregiver Resources

The Children’s Room houses a Parent’s Collection with books and videos on topics of interest to parents, including child development and behavior, sleep and potty training, health, education and learning differences.  Also available are books for adults to read to children about sensitive topics like sex, personal safety and abuse, grief, and more.

There are many more books useful to parents in the Adult Nonfiction collection and even elsewhere in the Children’s Room, so let us know if we can help point you in the right direction.

Information about the Lynnfield Library Summer Reading Program will be posted here as soon as it is available.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten

Reading helps build social and emotional skills, sparks creativity and imagination, promotes bonding, and helps kids do well overall in school. Take that motivation, open one book, and get started.

You can use The Lynnfield Public Library’s Beanstack Page, or download the Beanstack App, and start logging the books you and your child read together.
