Want to feel more confident using the internet while still staying safe? Join Lily, a local Lynnfield High School senior, for a fun and informative class titled Stay Safe & Smart Online, designed just for senior citizens! Whether you’re online daily or just getting started, this class will give you the tools to stay safe and informed in today’s digital world. No tech experience needed — all are welcome! This class is part of Lily’s Girl Scout Gold Award project.
This class will meet on the Lynnfield Library mezzanine four times and cover various topics, determined by what you want to learn! You can attend as many classes as you like.
The class times are:
- Thursdays, October 2, 9, and 23 from 6-7:20 PM
- Saturday, November 1 from 2-3:20 PM
The potential class topics might include:
- Spot online scams and avoid fraud
- Create strong, secure passwords
- Understand the basics of AI
- Recognize bias in social media
- Identify fake news and misinformation

These classes are primarily for general education. If you have specific questions about your devices, you can sign up for assistance at Lynnfield High School. Sessions will take place on October 15 and 29 from 10-11 AM. You must register for this, as spots are limited.
