Bathsheba Spooner: A Revolutionary Murder Conspiracy


Attention history buffs and true crime aficionados, join us on May 24th at 6:30 PM at the Lynnfield Library Mezzanine to hear author Andrew Noone read from his book, “Bathsheba Spooner: A Revolutionary Murder Conspiracy.”  

Spooner, when five months pregnant, was hanged for the murder of her husband alongside her three British and American accomplices, including teen militiaman Ezra Ross of Ipswich/Topsfield, the child’s apparent father. John Adams’ second cousin, Spooner was the first woman executed in the new United States.

He has participated in the Keepers of the Republic program sponsored by the American Antiquarian Society, and is currently a teacher for the Worcester Public Schools.
